Εν συντομία και με απλά λόγια: Απόφοιτοι ΣΕΜΦΕ με μεταπτυχιακό σε Operations Research και καλές ακαδημαϊκές επιδόσεις και καλά presentation skills μπορούν αρκετά εύκολα να γίνουν δεκτοί στην παρακάτω θέση Ερευνητή για Έρευνα με Ανθρωπιστικές Οργανώσεις (πχ Red Cross). Full Post: The Humanitarian Research Group (HRG), part of INSEAD’s Social Innovation Center, conducts
research in several areas of humanitarian operations: fleet management, logistics of disaster
preparedness and response, multi-sector partnerships and health supply chains.
We are currently helping a major relief organization design a fleet performance measurement
system. In order to assist the main researchers on this project, INSEAD is seeking to fill a full-time
position as
Research Associate / Research Fellow
starting 1st September at the latest, for a one-year contract (renewable), based in Fontainebleau,
France.
The research project involves several short to medium term visits to the partner’s headquarters, and
may include one or more field visits. The position will include the following tasks:
- Study academic and practitioner literature on areas related to the project.
- Participate actively in meetings with the project team.
- Conduct interviews with staff of the partner organization.
- Work with staff of the partner organization.
- Analyze data from the partner organization’s database.
- Participate in the writing-up and presentation of intermediary and final reports.
- Possibility to contribute to top quality academic publications.
Required qualifications and experience
For this demanding position, INSEAD is looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and
experience:
- Master degree or PhD in Industrial Engineering or Operations Research.
- A master degree or PhD in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Logistics will be
considered if the candidate can demonstrate strong analytical skills.
- Motivation to conduct impactful research and to work for the humanitarian sector.
- Previous experience in project management desired.
- Proven research experience, or willingness to develop research skills further.
- Strong communication skills in English (written and oral).
- Ability to work under strict deadlines.
- Willingness to travel.
- High level of independence, ability to work autonomously and in a team.
- Experience in the humanitarian or development sector will be considered a plus.
- Working experience outside academia will be considered a plus.
